For the Christmas holidays each year, the world-famous Chenonceau Castle chooses a special theme and then decorates the castle accordingly. Fir trees and bouquets are sumptuously displayed in every room in the castle, and the fireplace hearths are ablaze with welcoming fires to warm you.
Christmas Market at Amiens
From 26 November to December 31, 2010, AMIENS will be hosting the largest Christmas market in the north of France. Take a day trip from Paris to see it and soak up the Christmas atmostphere!
125 wooden stalls, from France and elsewhere, will provide you with many gift ideas – crafts, decorations and gourmet products – in an atmosphere filled with the sweet aromas and flavors of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
More colorful than ever, these chalets will set the scene of this key event for young and old to enjoy. A huge arch set up on the main street marks the entrance to the market and its magical village.
