 ts like Renoir, Picasso & Degas flocked to Montmartre to live and paint. We'll walk in their footsteps and discover Montmartre's two remaining windmills, see the famous artists' square (Place du Tertre), and enjoy the amazing views of Paris from Sacre Coeur church. 

Mansions of the Marais
One of Paris' most colorful districts is packed with history, culture
place-des-vosgesand beautiful 17th-18th century "hôtel particuliers" (private mansions). Visit the Place des Vosges, (right) where you'll see the former apartments of the King and Queen of France. Explore the Jewish quarter, the Picasso or Carnavalet Museums, and browse in the district's chic shops and galleries.

City Islands: Cité and St. Louis

Ipontneuf1sle de la Cité is the very heart of Paris. Visit the Conciergerie and Sainte Chapelle, the jewel-like chapel known for its incredible stained glass windows. On to Notre Dame Cathedral, and the  Holocaust Memorial that sits just behind the famous cathedral. Crossing a small bridge, you'll arrive on the Isle St. Louis with its many 17th and 18th century mansions. Stroll through the island's charming streets, peek into its galleries and shops.

The Liberation of Paris: The Resistance brought about the liberation of Paris. Visit the spots were Parisians defended their city, just days before the Liberation, as well as the places were battles took place during the summer of 1944. See more information here.

Napolean, a Singular Destiny:  Follow the life of one of the most famous men in French history: Napoleon Bonaparte.  Beginning with his Corsican childhood, education in the finest military academies in France, he became a brilliant officer and was quickly promoted to general. At the age of 29, he became Emperor Napoleon the First. Walk around the 1st arrondissement, which he created, to discover many sights related to him: Vendôme square, Saint Honoré street, the Palais Royal, Rivoli street, the Carrousel, the Louvre, and then cross the Seine to visit the Hotel de Salm and the famous Legion of Honor museum, where your tour ends.
